Our Profile

Nichols Power Systems was created on the foundation of providing the best possible service and highest quality product and at a competitive price. Owner and President, Fred Nichols, saw the need and opportunity for an electrical company with these ideals, the same he demanded of his own subcontractors.

NPS was formed in 2007 as an IBEW local 26 electrical company to partner with Nichols Contracting, Inc to perform the electrical and fire alarm work required for their General Contracting projects. Initially this work mainly revolved around elevator modernizations and small building renovations. While this continues to be the core business, NPS has grown to become a full-service electrical and fire alarm contractor. We perform turn-key services including everything from interior electric service calls to full building electrical upgrades and fire alarm device replacement or investigation to full system high-rise replacements. No job is too big or too small.
In addition to the renovation and replacement projects NPS is available for emergency electrical and fire alarm service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. NPS is also proud to provide periodic testing and/or preventive maintenance packages for fire alarm and electrical testing and inspections.
Not only is NPS partnered with a general contracting company, but we maintain close valuable relationships with local engineers, consultants and vendors as well as employees with the required licensing and certification to take any project from start to finish. These relationships and staff allow us the ability to provide high quality turn-key services with little risk to ourselves and our customers. We know the ‘how’ and the ‘who’ required to get the job done.
